Microsoft, Wolters Kluwer partner to improve patient engagement

Wolters Kluwer, Health has partnered with Microsoft to distribute educational resources for patients using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The first phase of the partnership leverages healthcare information products from UpToDate, Lexicomp and Emmi into new applications. With the help of the new content-as-a-service solution (CaaS) platform, healthcare companies now have access to a collection of over 600 movies and 8,500 digital instructional pamphlets, all of which can be integrated using Azure DevOps, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Cosmos DB.

Tom McGuiness, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of global healthcare and life sciences, said, “Combining Microsoft Cloud and AI solutions with Wolters Kluwer’s trusted, expert health consumer content will empower healthcare organizations to provide better care and service to the communities they serve.”
